To mark the 10th anniversary of the iPhone, Apple has something exciting in-store to celebrate. The launch of the iPhone 8 is just around the corner, and already rumors are flying around about what new features it will have, and what it will look like. We have some inside info….
The Latest Lowdown
The iPhone 8 is expected to feature an innovative redesign, with an edge-to-edge display, and features like the Touch ID fingerprint sensor will be no more. Word on the grapevine is that the Touch ID will either be built into the display or facial recognition technology will take its place. The home button will also be eliminated in this latest radical update.
With this new supposed edge-to-edge design, the iPhone 8 is rumored to feature a 5.8-inch display with the existing Home button being replaced instead by virtual buttons.
Apple will be introducing its latest device, as a much thinner version, with its display apparently being a flexible OLED instead of its current LCD. This then will consume a lot less battery and will give a brighter display. For iPhone 7 users it will be quite similar to this display, so they say.
For the actual body of the new device, Apple is said to be finally leaving behind the aluminum that has been used for the iPhone 5- 7 and opting for a newly improved SE instead, which will boast a glass body. The word from the inside is that the glass will be built in a very similar design to the Apple Watch.
We know what you’re thinking… color schemes, well we were too. If you’re wondering whether there will be a brand new shade waiting to be announced, it appears that this will be the case, and the iPhone 8 is apparently going to have this latest color to add to the collection… wait for it…..’Blush Gold.’
